Chimney service built around Indio homes
In the Coachella Valley the enemy is not creosote — it is sand, heat and neglect. Flues fill with blown grit, caps corrode, and gas appliances that sit unused for months come back to life with clogged burners and blocked venting.
Indio's newer master-planned communities and the Indian Palms and Terra Lago areas are dominated by prefab and direct-vent gas fireplaces inside stucco chases. Older central Indio homes have simple masonry fireplaces, frequently uncapped. Seasonal and rental properties make up a large share of our valley calls.
Summer temperatures well above 110 degrees bake mortar and crown material until it crazes, and monsoon downpours then drive water into those cracks. Wind-blown sand grinds at caps and packs flues, so screening and a properly sealed chase are the two upgrades that pay for themselves fastest here.
