Chimney service built around Hemet homes
The San Jacinto Valley has a lot of long-owned homes with chimneys that have gone years between inspections. Most of our Hemet work is catching up on deferred maintenance — crowns, dampers, animal intrusion and liners — at pricing people can actually plan around.
Central Hemet has 1950s through 1970s masonry fireplaces, many with deteriorated mortar and no cap at all. The east side toward San Jacinto and the retirement communities include manufactured homes with metal venting that must be checked differently from masonry. Newer subdivisions run prefab.
Extreme heat and dry air open mortar joints and crack crowns, and the valley's occasional heavy downpours then find every one of those cracks. Uncapped flues also make easy homes for birds, raccoons and wasps, which is one of our most frequent inland service calls.
