Chimney service built around Palo Alto homes
Palo Alto homeowners tend to want two things: work that respects a historic or architecturally significant home, and paperwork that stands up to scrutiny. Both are what we do best on the Peninsula.
Professorville and Old Palo Alto have designated historic properties where any exterior masonry change is reviewed, so we photograph and match brick and mortar profiles before starting. Barron Park and Midtown ranch homes are more straightforward relining and sweeping work. Newer Crescent Park rebuilds often have sealed gas appliances with venting that was never commissioned correctly.
The Peninsula's mild climate is easy on masonry, which means the failures we find are usually age and workmanship, not weather. Crowns poured flat without a drip edge, and mortar washes used in place of a real crown, are the two defects we correct most often here.
